After feuding with his sons’ Lithuanian coach, LaVar Ball took his boys and went home. Again. As if this was ever going to end any other way.
After publicly saying Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez didn't belong in last year’s Home Run Derby. Twins Logan Morrison was left out of the derby last year. Morrison added fuel to the Yankees fan hatred by calling them "stupid." He’s been hearing the boo’s during the current series at the stadium. The 30-year-old went into the series struggling and knew he'd be hearing it from the fanbase. He’s 1-for-6 in the this series and continues to struggle this season. He's batting (as of last night) .103 with 16 strikeouts and only one home run. If the trend continues, Morrison will likely be left out of this year's Home Run Derby once again.
Like it or not Matt Harvey was used out of the bullpen for the first time Tuesday night and fell right into deep water. His first real relief appearance came with the Mets and Cardinals tied in the bottom of the fifth inning. Harvey gave up the go-ahead run on a pair of doubles by Dexter Fowler and Paul DeJong. Maybe he’s right…he doesn’t belong in the bullpen.
I have to admit Mookie Betts is one of the truly great two-way players in big-league baseball…And getting better. Like, by the day.
Mike Francesa's shocking return to WFAN afternoon drive just four months after his much-celebrated departure (and the 19-month farewell tour that preceded it) is a surprise to all. Other on air personalities will be affected by this ridiculous move that the new upper management thought was a good idea. The idea that he’s coming back to the station that he just retired from is all sorts of awkward for so many reasons. Mike, stay home.
Like I said before, Sonny Gray is way overrated.
WHAT IS THIS?
It's a somewhat tongue in cheek OPINIONATED sports blog that promises to cover baseball, football, hockey, basketball, and any other INTERESTING, stupid, and absurd STORY related to sports.
